Robert Wood Johnson
An established businessman, civic leader, and philanthropist, Ambassador Robert Wood Johnson is a fourth-generation member of the founding family of Johnson & Johnson, the worldwide health care company.
From 2017 to 2021, Johnson served as the Ambassador of the United States of America to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Upon his return to the US, Ambassador Johnson, an owner of the New York Jets, resumed his duties as the team’s Chairman and CEO.
Ambassador Johnson has long been active in local philanthropic and civic affairs. Ambassador Johnson is the Founding Chairman of the Lupus Research Alliance, which is the largest private funder of lupus research in the world.
His past service includes being an Honorary Trustee of the Wildlife Conservation Society, a board member of the National September 11 Memorial & Museum at the World Trade Center, and a board member of the Peregrine Fund. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. Additionally, Ambassador Johnson has been a longtime supporter of the Central Park Conservancy and the Montana Land Reliance.
